JAMES, Isaiah, a Representative from Bucks County; born, August 27, 1796 in New Britain, Bucks County, Pa.; colonel, 2nd Regiment, Bucks County Volunteers, Pennsylvania Militia (1826-1830); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 term; reelected to the House for the 1836-1837 and 1837-1838 terms; elected, prothonotary, Bucks County (1848-1851); died, September 23, 1886 in New Britain, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Britain Baptist Church Cemetery, New Britain, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
