JOHNSTON, John, a Representative from Perry County; born, March 4, 1793 in Toboyne Township, Perry County, Pa.; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832, 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; chair, Perry County Democratic Committee (1842); died, October 27, 1869 in Perry County, Pennsylvania; interred, Tobyone Presbyterian Churchyard, Blain, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
