HEADLEE, Russell Edwin, a Representative from Greene County; born in Garards Fort, Greene County, Pa., May 22, 1907; graduated, Mapletown High School; attended, Waynesburg College; lumberman (60 years); teacher, Greene County school district (11 years); member, county and local school boards; director, Pennsylvania Economy League, Greene County; director and president, Greene County Independent Development Corporation; director, Greene County Memorial Hospital; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1951-1952 term; reelected to the House in 1962, 1964, 1966, and 1968; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1970); died, June 8, 1987 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona; interred, Garards Fort Cemetery, Gerards Fort, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
