DONALDSON, Lee A., Jr., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Etna, Allegheny County, Pa., August 11, 1925; attended, Etna Borough Schools; A.B., Allegheny College, 1946; LL.B., University of Pittsburgh Law School, 1950; honorary doctorate of law, Allegheny College, 1967; sergeant, United States Army; attorney; elected, solicitor, Etna (1952-1955); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1954; reelected to serve 7 more consecutive terms; elected, Majority Leader (1967-1968); elected, Minority Leader (1969-1970); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1967-1970); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1970); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1968); delegate, Republican National Convention (1968); judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Allegheny County (1972-1974); died, September 3, 2009 in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.
