CLAYPOOLE, William H., a Representative from Armstrong County; born, March 30, 1907; attended, West Franklin Township Public Schools; businessman; superintendent, Armsdale Home and Hospital (1932-1944); elected, commissioner, Armstrong County (1944-1966); director, American Red Cross, Armstrong County Chapter; member, Southwestern Regional Planning Commission; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1966 and 1968; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1970 General election; died, February 25, 1981 in Kittanning, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
