SNARE, Orville E., a Representative from Blair and Huntingdon Counties; born in McConnellstown, Huntingdon County, Pa., July 3, 1918; served, United States Army (1941-1945, World War II); passenger brakeman, Pennsylvania Railroad; project engineer, Pennsylvania Department of Highways; grocer (40 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1956 and served 6 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1970); died, July 13, 2006 in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Reformed Cemetery, Marklesburg, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
