VAN VALZAH, John A., a Representative from Juniata, Mifflin and Union Counties; born, October 27, 1800 in Buffalo Crossroads, Union County, Pa.; proprietor, grain mill; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1842 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1843 term; died, August 26, 1854 in Kelly Township, Union County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
