BELL, Joseph Allen, a Representative from Juniata, Mifflin and Union Counties; born, 1804 in Pennsylvania; private, Company F, 18th Regiment, Pennsylvania Emergency Militia (1862, Civil War); master tanner; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1841 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1842 term; member, Mifflin County Whig Convention (1850).
