FUNK, John, a Representative from Juniata, Mifflin and Union Counties; born, January 2, 1792 in Lancaster County, Pa.; teamster; farmer; engaged, real estate; elected, commissioner, Juniata County (1834-1836); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 1838-1839 term; reelected to the House for the 1841 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1840 or 1842 terms; died, November 29, 1850 in Walker Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania; interred, Centre Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mifflintown, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
