HOTTENSTEIN, Dr. Isaac, a Representative from Juniata, Mifflin and Union Counties; born, September 4, 1796 in Kutztown, Berks County, Pa.; M.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1816; colonel, 1^st Regiment, 2^nd Brigade, 6^th Division, Pennsylvania Militia (1833-1845); physician; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1840 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1841 term; died, July 15, 1875 in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County, Pennsylvania; interred, Seventh Avenue Cemetery, Shamokin Dan, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
