Potter; lawyer (1821-1864); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1837-1838 term; reelected to the House for the 1840 term, not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1838-1839 or 1841 term; gubernatorial appointee, president judge, Huntingdon, Mifflin and Union Counties (1842-1851); elected, president judge, Mifflin and Union Counties (1852-1861); died, December 19, 1864 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
