HOLMAN, Allan Weir, Jr., a Representative from Cumberland, Juniata and Perry Counties; born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pa., July 28, 1929; A.B., Gettysburg College, 1951; LL.B., Dickinson School of Law, 1956; first lieutenant, Air Weather Service, United States Air Force (1951-1953); attorney; solicitor, West Perry School District (40 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1961 term and served 4 more consecutive terms; appointed, Local Government Commission (1967-1970); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1970); vice-chair, Southcentral Regional  Advisory Council, Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (1975-1980); trustee, Shippensburg University (1985-1993; president, 1991-1993); member, Shippensburg University Foundation (1995); died, September 6, 2010 in New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bloomfield Cemetery, New Bloomfield, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
