GIBBONEY, Adolphus Franklin, a Representative from Mifflin County; born in Union Township, Mifflin County, Pa., September 19, 1824; farmer; United States Patent holder, improving shuttle boxes for looms (1858); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1861 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1862 term; president, Gibboney Woolen Mills; elected, commissioner, Mifflin County (1867-1868); merchant (1868-1882); died, July 8, 1898 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Cemetery, Kishacoquillas, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
