ZELLER, Joseph Richard, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, September 19, 1918 in Campus, Livingston County, Il.; graduated, The Pennsylvania State University (Allentown); aviation electric mate chief, "U.S.S. Ranger," United States Navy (1941-1946, World War II); served, United States Navy (1950-1953, Korean War); employed, Naval Depot, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; chief electrician; elected, council, Emmaus (1961-1965); elected, mayor, Emmaus (1965-1971); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1971 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1980); sales, Hahn Fire Apparatus; owner, Lehigh Valley Fire Services; died, December 12, 2018 in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
