McCLINTIC, Joseph Henderson, a Representative from Mifflin County; born, June 23, 1846 in Union Township, Mifflin County, Pa.; first lieutenant, Company B, Nineteenth United States Regulars (1862-1863); drill officer, United States Colored Troops (1863-1864, Civil War); private, Company A, 87th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); unit commander, Veteran Reserve Corps (1865, Civil War); farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1890 and 1892; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1894); died, September 20, 1915 in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Machpelah Presbyterian Cemetery, Belleville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
