PARCELS, Dr. Walter H., a Representative from Mifflin County; born, March 23, 1848 in Allegany County, NY; graduated, Oberlin College; served, Company D, 50th Regiment, New York Engineers (1864-1865, Civil War); physician; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1882 and 1894; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1884, 1896); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1896); died, February 1, 1920 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Church Hill Cemetery, Reedville, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
