GEESEY, Eugene R., a Representative from Cumberland and York Counties; born in Dallastown, York County, Pa., December 1, 1931; graduated, Dallastown High School, 1949; B.S., Lebanon Valley College, 1956; served, United States Army (1951-1953, Korean War); insurance agent; president, Geesey Associates; auditor, Fairview Township (6 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1969 term and served 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Special Committee to Investigate the Energy Crisis (1973); appointed, Committee to Investigate the Administration of Justice (1973-1974); appointed, Select Committee to Review Insurance Regulations (1974); appointed, secretary, Select Committee on Three Mile Island (1979); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1980); president, CIB, Inc.; member, Republican Executive Committee, Georgetown County, SC; member, Republican State Committee, Georgetown County, SC; died, January 5, 2023 in New Oxford, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
