BELL, Gruber H., a Representative from Mifflin County; born, March 9, 1853 in Derry Township, Mifflin County, Pa.; attended, Kishacoquillas Seminary, Mifflin County; teacher; farmer; auctioneer; livestock and farm implement dealer; elected, auditor; supervisor and school director, Lewistown; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1896; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1898); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1900); elected, associate judge, Mifflin County; died, January 24, 1924 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
