PALLONE, John E., a Representative from Allegheny, Armstrong, and Westmoreland Counties; born in New Kensington, Westmoreland County, Pa., July 30, 1960; graduated, Valley High School, 1978; attended, The Pennsylvania State University, 1978-1979; attended, Edinboro State College (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro), 1979-1981; B.A., business administration/economics, Grove City College, 1983; J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University, 1988; co-owner and installer, Floors by Pallone (1975-1988); controller, Cheswick Pools and Patios (1983-1985); commissioners’ coordinator, Westmoreland County (1989-2000); attorney (1989-present); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2000; reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Select Committee on Public Education Funding (2001-2002); appointed, Select Committee on Information Security (2006); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (2010); unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Westmoreland County (2011); superintendent, New Kensington-Arnold School District (2012-present).
