MYERS, John, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, October 17, 1947 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; GED, Germantown High School, 1965; M.A., human services, Lincoln University, 1993; served, United States Navy (1964-1968, Vietnam War); MH/MR Specialist, Commonwealth Community Treatment Team; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election on November 7, 1995 to serve the remaining 1995 term; Sworn-In, November 21, 1995 and reelected to 8 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2012); died, December 6, 2015 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsyvlania.
