JAMES, Robert Lee, a Representative from Butler, Crawford and Venango Counties; born November 20, 1948; graduated, Oil City High School, 1966; B.S., economics, Clarion State College (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion), 1974; M.B.A., Clarion University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion), 1983; served, United States Navy (1966-1972); vice president, commercial lending, First National Bank of Pennsylvania; financial consultant, First Union Securities; trustee, Clarion University of Pennsylvania (now Pennsylvania Western University) (1997-present); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2012; reelected to the House for 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Local Government Commission (2017-present); appointed, Deputy Whip (2019-2020).
