FLYNN, Martin B., II., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., September 18, 1975; graduated, Scranton Prep School, 1994; B.A., legal studies, Marywood University, 2000; professional boxer; professional mixed martial arts fighter; guard, Lackawanna County Prison; inmate education and program coordinator, Lackawanna County Prison; chair, misconduct board, Lackawanna County Prison; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2012; reelected to the House for 4 more consecutive terms; appointed, Deputy Whip (2019-2020); resigned from the House, June 8, 2021; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (June 9, 2021-present).
