ADOLPH, William Francis, Jr., a Representative from Delaware County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., October 23, 1949; graduated, Cardinal O’Hara High School, 1967; B.A., Christian Brothers College, 1971; public accountant; elected, commissioner, Springfield Township (1981-1989; president, 1988); Republican Ward Leader; commissioner, 1st Ward (1982-1989); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1989 term and was reelected to serve 13 more consecutive terms; elected, chair, Minority Appropriations Committee (2010); elected, chair, Majority Appropriations Committee (2010-2016); appointed, board , Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority (1991-2002); appointed, board, State Public School Building Authority (1991-2002); appointed, board, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) (2003-2016; chair, 2007-2016); appointed, Task Force on Higher Education Funding (1994); appointed, Select Committee on Information Security (2006); appointed, Public School Building Construction and Reconstruction (PlanCon) Advisory Committee (2016); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2016).
