HARBESON, Thomas C., a Representative from Mifflin County; born, White Deer, Union County, Pa., on November 2, 1889; attended, Union Seminary; B.A., Pennsylvania State Forest Academy, The Pennsylvania State (University, Mont Alto) College, 1914; served, Company A, 56 Pioneer Infantry, United States Army (1918, World War I); employed, Pennsylvania Department of Forests and Waters (18 years); forester, Rolling Rock Estate, Westmoreland County (2 years); C.C.C., West Virginia, United States Forest Service (3 years); author of forestry articles; registered surveyor; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1940); died, May 9, 1968 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
