MICOZZIE, Nicholas A., a Representative from Delaware County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., September 7, 1930; graduated, St. Thomas More High School; B.S., business administration, St. Joseph’s College, 1963; graduated, electrical engineering, Villanova University, 1968; staff sergeant, United States Air Force (1950-1954, Korean War); real estate; elected, commissioner, Upper Darby (1971-1989); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1979 term; reelected to serve 17 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, House Select Committee to Investigate SEPTA (1979); appointed, Select Committee to Study Autism in the Commonwealth (1988); appointed, Select Committee on Public Education Funding (2001-2002); appointed, Select Committee on Property Tax Reform (2012); not a candidate for reelection to House for the 2015 term; died, July 28, 2020 in Pennsylvania; interred, SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
