WALKER, Earl Sidney, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Wilmerding, Allegheny County, Pa., September 6, 1915; graduated, Turtle Creek High School, 1932; attended, Thiel College; A.B., Duquesne University, 1942; B.D., Lutheran Theological Seminary, 1948; second lieutenant, aerial-navigator, Air Corps, United States Army (1942-1946, World War II); employed, Westinghouse Air Brake Company; Lutheran Clergyman: served, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ford City (1948-1951), Hebron Lutheran Church, East Pittsburgh (1952-1971) and St. Croix, Virgin Islands (1972-1978); chair, East Pittsburgh Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1962; served 2 more consecutive terms; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1967-1968); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1968); died, June 24, 2001 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
