RIGBY, Joseph P., a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., November 1, 1906; alderman and chair, 7th Ward Republican Committee; member, Allegheny County Republican Committee; engaged in the real estate and insurance business; reporter, Pittsburgh newspapers (18 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1950; reelected to the House in 1954, 1956, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1966; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1952); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1960, 1968); died, November 8, 1988 in Oil City, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, Allegheny Memorial Park, Allison Park, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
