LENCH, Ronald G., a Representative from Beaver County; born in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Ct., January 7, 1933; graduated, Beaver Falls High School; B.A., The Pennsylvania State University, 1954; L.L.B., University of Pittsburgh Law School, 1957; served, United States Army (1963); solicitor, Beaver County Planning and Zoning Commission (1959-1963); solicitor, Beaver Falls (1960-1961); Assistant District Attorney, Beaver County (1962-1964); president, Beaver County Young Democrats Club (1962); co-chair, Beaver County Citizens for Clark and Dilworth (1963-1964); solicitor, Beaver Falls Area School District (1963-1969); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1964 and 1966; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1968); Executive Assistant to the House Majority Leader, Democratic Caucus (1969-1970); campaign coordinator, Democratic State Committee (1970); Deputy Secretary and Secretary of Administration, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1971-1974); Legislative Secretary to Governor Milton Shapp (1974); Secretary of Property and Supplies, Department of General Services, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1974-1975); appointed, Executive Director, General State Authority (1975); appointed, Secretary and Deputy of General Services (1975-1979); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Interstate Cooperation.
