CIOFFI, Dominick E., a Representative from Lawrence County; born, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pa., July 28, 1899; graduated, New Castle High School; attended, New Castle Business College; studied law, LaSalle Extension University; mill and railroad worker; salesman and insurance agent; adjuster and investigator, Workmen’s Compensation Bureau, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry; purchasing agent, Penella Company; secretary, Democratic Party of Lawrence County (20 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1952; reelected to 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Local Government Commission (1965-1968); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1968); died, July 26, 1988.
