ASHTON, William Henszey, a Representative from Chester County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., December 24, 1904; attended, Haverford School; graduated, Princeton University, 1926; dairy farmer; cattle and horse breeder; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1953 term and served 7 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Legislative Budget and Finance Committee (1965-1966); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1968); died, February 20, 1975 in Edgemont, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint James the Less Episcopal Churchyard, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
