STEPHENS, William Todd, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, 1971 in Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pa.; graduated, Hatboro-Horsham High School, 1989; B.A., government, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, 1993; J.D., Widener University School of Law, 2000; insurance agent; second deputy prothonotary, Montgomery County; Assistant District Attorney, Pre-Trials Division, later Sex Crimes Unit, Trials Division, Montgomery County (2001-2004); special assistant United States Attorney, Firearms Unit, United States Attorney’s Office, Philadelphia (2004-2010); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (2008); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2010; reelected to the House for 5 more consecutive terms; appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing (2013-2022: chair, 2019-2022); chair, Military Installation Remediation and Infrastructure Authority (2020-present); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (2022); elected, magisterial judge, Montgomery County (2024-present).
