HUTCHINSON, Scott E., a Representative from Butler and Venango Counties; born in Oil City, Venango County, Pa., August 19, 1961; graduated, Oil City High School, 1979; B.S., economics, University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance, 1983; attended, University of Pittsburgh; attended, Thiel College; chief deputy treasurer, Venango County (1984-1992); vice president, Oil City Area School Board (1985-1992); appointed, Venango County Board of Assistance, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (1986-1992); chair, Venango County Young Republicans; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1992; reelected to serve 9 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (1995-present; chair, 2001-present); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2012); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (2013-present); appointed, Local Government Commission (2015-present); appointed, Pennsylvania Grade Crude Development Advisory Council (2021-present).
