SACCONE, Richard, Ph.D., a Representative from Allegheny and Washington Counties; born in McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pa., February 14, 1958; graduated, Elizabeth Forward High School, 1976; B.S., psychology, Weber State University, 1981; M.P.A., public administration, University of Oklahoma, 1984; M.A., national security affairs, Naval postgraduate School, 1987; Ph.D., international affairs, University of Pittsburgh, 2002; captain, United States Air Force; television anchor, South Korea; international business, South Korea and Central America; author; professor, St. Vincent College; member, school board, Elizabeth Forward School District; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2010; reelected to the House to serve 3 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint Legislative Air and Water Pollution Control and Conservation Committee (2011-2018); elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (2016, 2024); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (2018); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2018).
