McCLELLAN, William, a Representative from York County; born, April 17, 1791 in York County, Pa; private, 125th Regiment, 1st Rifle Company, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Rossville (1827-1828); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1833-1834 and 1834-1835 terms; died, March 2, 1878 in Rossville, York, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Michael’s Evangelical Luteran Cemetery, Rossville, York County, Pennsylvania.
