DONNELL, John R., a Representative from York County; born, June 1, 1795 in Pennsylvania; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832, 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; elected, delegate, Pennsylvania State Constitutional Convention (1837-1838); elected, prothonotary, York County (1842-1848); appointed, inspector, Philadelphia Customs House (1853-1858); farmer; hotelier; died, November 8, 1881 in Union Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Carmel Cemetery, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
