BARNHART, Henry, a Representative from Centre and Clearfield Counties; born, 1786 in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pa.; private, 147th Regiment, 1st Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia (1812, War of 1812); inspector, 1st Brigade, 10th Division, Centre County Militia (1828-1834); lumber merchant; engaged in shipping; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1834-1835 term; farmer; elected, associate judge, Centre County Court of Common Pleas (1856-1861); died, September 4, 1873 in Boggs Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania; interred, Eagle Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
