LEVAN, Jacob, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, December 1, 1784 in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pa.; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Berks County (1811); unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Berks County (1812, 1813); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1816, 1821, 1822); elected as Federalist to Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1817-1818 and 1818-1819 terms; died, December 1, 1852 in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Schwarzwald Cemetery, Jacksonwald, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
