NEIKIRCH (NEIKIRK), John, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, January 10, 1777 in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pa.; brigadier general, 2nd Brigade, 6th Division, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 and 1821-1822 terms; died, November 8, 1822 in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Neikirch Family Burial Ground, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
