PIATT, William, a Representative from Lycoming, McKean and Potter Counties; born, January 29, 1795 in Washington Township, Lycoming County, Pa.; major, First Lycoming Cavalry Troop, Pennsylvania Militia (20 years); tanner; elected, auditor, Lycoming County (1825-1828); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831, 1831-1832 and 1833-1834 terms; president, Loyalsock Turnpike Company; president, Uniontown Bridge Company; surveyor, Lycoming County (1850-1853); appointed, associate judge, Lycoming County (1856-1860); died, January 6, 1876 in White Deer Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Piatt Cemetery, Montgomery, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
