CRAWFORD, George, a Representative from Lycoming, McKean and Potter Counties; born, November 7, 1794 in Centre County (now Clinton County), Pa.; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832, 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; general superintendent of Pennsylvania Canals (1834-1835); elected, commissioner, Lycoming County; associate judge, Clinton County; died, June 18, 1876 in Lycoming County Pennsylvania; interred, Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
