WEYGANDT, Charles Edward, a Representative from Northampton, Pike and Wayne Counties; born, November 3, 1798 in Easton, Northampton County, Pa.; blacksmith; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1833-1834 term; reelected to the House for the 1835-1836 term; justice of the peace; appointed, weighmaster, Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company (1847); superintendent, Easton Gas Works (12 years); artist; died, July 16, 1866 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Easton Cemetery, Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
