DIMMICK, Isaac, a Representative from Northampton, Pike and Wayne Counties; born, March 18, 1782 in Mansfield, Tolland County, Ct.; colonel, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1817-1818 and 1818-1819 terms; school teacher; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Bethany, Pa. (1819-1824); appointed, associate judge, Wayne County (1829-1833); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Deer Park, Il. (1860); elected, commissioner, LaSalle County (5 years); died, March 26, 1873 in Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois; interred, Ottawa Avenue Cemetery, Ottawa, LaSalle County, Illinois.
