KENNEDY, James, a Representative from Northampton, Pike and Wayne Counties; born, February 26, 1787 in Greenwich Township, Warren County, NJ; served, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1819); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1820-1821, 1821-1822, 1822-1823 and 1826-1827 terms; associate judge, Northampton County (1844-1849); died, November 20, 1872 in Northampton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Horner’s Cemetery, Northampton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
