FORNANCE, Joseph, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, October 18, 1804 in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pa.; attended, Old Academy at Lower Merion; studied law; lawyer (1832-1852); elected, council president, Norristown; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1833-1834 and 1834-1835 term; elected, United States Congress (1839-1843); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1843); died, November 24, 1852 in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Montgomery Cemetery, West Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
