WALLACE, John Bradford, a representative from Crawford county; born, August 17, 1778 in Ellerslie, Somerset County, NJ; A.M., valedictorian, Princeton College, 1794; attorney (1799-1837); secretary and treasurer, the Law Library Company of Philadelphia (1802-1809); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1808); unsuccessful campaign, select council, Philadelphia (1812, 1814); engaged, real estate; elected, burgess, Meadville (1825); attorney, Holland Land Company; elected as a National Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832, 1832-1833 and 1833-1834 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1834-1835 term; died, January 7, 1837 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peter's Episcopal Churchyard, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
