SMITH, Isaac, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, January 29, 1773; captain, First Brigade, 2nd and 152nd Regiments, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 term; elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1820); chair, County Democratic Committee (1822); reelected to the House for the 1824-1825 and 1825-1826 terms; died, August 13, 1834 in Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fetterhoff’s Cemetery, Halifax, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.Â
