BROOKE, Charles, a Representative from Chester County; born, October 2, 1786 in Pennsylvania; teamster; proprietor, Hibernia Iron Works (1821-1860); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1830); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 and 1835-1836 term; died, July 17, 1866 in West Caln Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hibernia United Methodist Cemetery, Cedar Knoll, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
