HUTCHINSON, John, a Representative from Chester County; dry goods merchant; unsuccessful campaign, director of the poor, Chester County (1820, 1823); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1834-1835 and 1835-1836 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1836-1837 term.
