WITHEROW, John, a Representative from Fayette County; born, circa 1779; wagon maker; dry goods merchant (1814-1821); elected, sheriff, Fayette County (1817-1820); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1820-1821 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1821-1822 term; died, May 4, 1824 in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Historic Presbyterian Public Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
