ENEIX, Joseph, a Representative from Fayette County; born, June 16, 1788 in Virginia; blacksmith and scythe maker; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1829-1830, 1830-1831 and 1833-1834 terms; Presidential appointee, receiver of public moneys, United States Land Office, Mineral Point, Wi. (1834-1838); died, September 6, 1857 in Springhill, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
